About 60 suspects were arrested in the Sandton policing precinct over the past week for various crimes.
Spokesperson for the Sandton Police Station Captain Bheki Xulu said the suspects were arrested during various integrated operations.
Suspects were arrested in connection with the following crimes: reckless and negligent driving (32), malicious damage to property (3), common assault (2), business robbery (2), theft (3), trespassing, and possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle (2), shoplifting (6), theft under false pretences (2), shoplifting (6), driving under the influence of alcohol (1) and crimen injuria (1).

“The station management applauded the work well done by members and other law enforcement agencies partnering in fighting crime and ensuring that those who break the law are brought to book,” said Xulu.
Community members were urged to report any criminal activities to Crime Stop on 086 001 0111 or Sandton police on 011 722 4200.
