Heartfelt farewell to Sandton officer

SANDTON – Tributes were delivered by JMPD leadership and a motorcade drove past the house as the officers paid their respects.

Sandton has lost an extremely humble and respectful officer.

This was according to Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) spokesperson Xolani Fihla as the department mourns the loss of officer Siphiwo Goodwill Ntloko.

Ntloko, who had been part of the department for 13 years, passed away on 4 May due to a long-term illness. “He joined the department in 2008. After graduating from the JMPD Academy he was deployed to the Sandton Tracing Unit until he met his untimely death on 4 May,” added Fihla.

Ntloko always went the extra mile to ensure that he performed his duties to the best of his abilities. “Even though he was ill, whenever he returned to work his presence would make a big difference.”

The memorial service by the department for the late officer was held on 13 May at his home in Soweto. Tributes were delivered by JMPD leadership and a motorcade drove past the house as the officers paid their respects.

“He is survived by a wife, two sons and siblings. It is saddening to lose Officer Ntloko, our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.”
