A loving exit
SANDTON – Fan-favourite Cameron Scott is hitting international screens following his exit from the Bachelorette SA
Actor, writer, and producer, Cameron Scott shared some details about his surprising exit on the Bachelorette SA last month along with his current plans.
The 26-year-old Riverclub resident said he is focussing on his acting career at the moment, “You won’t be seeing me on the Bachelorette anymore but I am excited to reveal that I will be on The Kissing Booth 3 which will be released on Netflix in August this year.”
Scott, who was a fan-favourite in the Bachelorette, had viewers almost distraught when Qinisio van Damme sent him packing. “I felt like I left the show pretty early you know, in comparison to when I thought I would. But at the same time, I feel like I left at the right time. Looking back, in retrospect, I felt like I can see that it was probably the right call on her end.”
He said that he still feels good about his relationship with Van Damme, as they have formed a close friendship and agreed to be friends regardless of what happened on the show.
“The more time I spent with her on the show, the more I saw that this is someone holistically I could see myself with, she ticked all the boxes and at the same time, a lot of those boxes are aligned with friendship. The ‘Men Tell All’ episode is yet to come and, well, there could be some hectic things revealed but like all things, time will be the guide. “
About his time on the show, Scott said it took some getting used to but his overall experience was quite amazing.
“The really weird part for me was the fact that it was on national TV but I did enjoy it. It was cool to show a different side of me on camera. What I realized was that you can never be jealous or upset in these types of situations, you have to be able to navigate the space and Qiniso had this amazing way of being private,” he said.
Given the opportunity, he would consider being on the Bachelor SA but with the right motivation. “I am intentionally single and now I’m taking out time to find out where I’m at. But of course, I am open if love comes knocking.”
