The gruesome discovery of body parts were found in Rivonia on 20 February.
Sandton police spokesperson, Captain Bheki Xulu said, “On Saturday, 20 February at about 9.30am, the community and SAPS members attended to a crime scene at the corner of Cheetah Lane and 12th Avenue in Rivonia. On arrival they found human body parts in plastic bags and decomposed.”
A murder case was opened for investigation.
“We appeal to the members of the community to come forward with information to assist with the investigation in this regard.”
He added that police were still waiting for the pathology report.
