All seasons require safety and protection of residents

BRAMLEY – To the members of the Bramley Police Station, the time is no different from other seasons.

For law enforcement officers at Bramley Police Station, their biggest concern is the safety of their community.
Spokesperson at the station, Captain Molefe Mogodi said they drew strength from the knowledge that their members were out on the street serving their community with pride and without fear.
He added, “Crime is a common enemy which requires a joint venture and which should include cooperation between us as police and the community. While one can argue that there is not much that the community can do to help fight crime, the fact that they report crime or alleged crime, give out crime-related information to the police, that alone contributes a lot to the Bramley police.
“We also believe that crime is not a challenge but a reality which we need to face and eradicate daily.”

Mogodi reported that the station had a very good conviction rate. “This was as a result of good investigation skills possessed by our members and of course with the help of the community whose roles were mainly as witnesses.”

As the festive season approaches, Mogodi shared the following tips with the community:

Mogodi encouraged residents to ‘report all forms of crime and help us to serve and protect with pride.’
