Support CHOC and give hope

Seegers said that Choc represents a group of children that never stop believing that they will overcome and beat cancer.

The Childhood Cancer Foundation (CHOC) based in Rivonia is proud of the fact that they have continued to keep programmes running despite the uncertain times.

Communications coordinator at the Foundation, Taryn Seegers said all 13 of their accommodation facilities across South Africa have remained open, ensuring that each beneficiary served by the organisation has received treatment and every family has access to treatment centres.

Seegers added that as a result of the pandemic, many of the organisation’s large funding events did not take place.

“We had to think outside the box for different ways to raise funds while being aware that many people and corporates were going through difficulties at the time,” said Seegers.

As she looks ahead to the festive season, Seegers shared a message of hope.

“This wonderful time is almost upon us, and already the spirit of the season is starting to take hold. We are starting to believe again – in family, in hope, in the power of connections, in the spirit of generosity – that we can make a difference in the lives of those around us.”

Seegers said CHOC represented a group of children that never stopped believing that they would overcome and beat cancer.

“This festive season, believe in the power that one little light can catch on and become a shining beacon of hope and donate to CHOC to keep the belief that these children and teenagers rely on to keep fighting.
“We need you to believe in these children because they are worth it,” concluded Seegers.
