Family fun-raising at Saints

LYME PARK – The school recently kicked off its series of Drive.in.co Roadhouse Restaurant Drive-Ins to help raise money for the scholarship programme.

St Stithians College has found a fun-filled way to help raise money for Thandulwazi Academic Scholarship Programme.

The Lyme Park/Bryanston school recently kicked off its series of Drive.in.co Roadhouse Restaurant Drive-Ins to help raise money for the scholarship programme.

The programme provides scholarships to disadvantaged learners who are currently learning in a school environment which does not optimise their talent. The programme also provides bursaries to talented mathematics and science learners from Grade 10 to 12 with the aim of promoting them to the college.

With all Covid-19 protocols in place and food and snacks served on the field, parents, learners and other members of the community came out to support the fundraiser.

The college will continue to host the drive-in movie nights on Friday and Saturday nights during the months of November and December.

“Enjoy a summer’s weekend evening drive-in experience in a safe and secure environment, watching some of your favourite classic movies under the stars and overlooking our Sandton skyline,” said communications manager Annie Fyfe-Hitchings.

Grab your masks, blankets and come out to support the Saints community. “Help them make a world of a difference, one movie at a time,” she added.
