St David’s celebrates successful virtual arts week

After the successful launch, the school is certain that arts week will become a permanent fixture in the school calendar.

St David’s Marist Inanda has once again showcased its ability to adapt.

The boys’ school in Sandown launched its virtual arts week which ran from 26 to 30 October.

“Parents and members of the public were treated to exhibitions of Steam (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) activities, artworks, marimba, and choir performances as well as St David’s take on the Jerusalema challenge,” said marketing liaison Carey Fisher-Gietzman.

The school posted a video compilation of the learners’ amazing solo and ensemble art pieces across its online platforms over the five-day period – each day was dedicated to a particular grade.

“These videos celebrated the incredible talents of the learners by applauding their efforts in art, music, dance, poetry and drama,” Fisher-Gietzman added.

After the successful launch, the school is certain that arts week will become a permanent fixture in the school calendar.
