The South African Police Service (SAPS) has assured residents that it remains committed to serving the community during the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to a statement by the police service on its social media, all essential services of the SAPS remain in place even if a police station is closed for decontamination.

“Service delivery is in no way compromised to members of the community,” said the statement.
Alternative venues from where its members will operate the Community Service Centre (CSC) as well as alternative telephone numbers are always provided.
“All employees of the SAPS remain committed to our duty to serve the people of South Africa without interruption. Essential Public Services like ours remain stable in this time of uncertainty,” said the police service.
