Joburg’s Region B records over 1 500 active Covid-19 cases

JOBURG – Suburbs in the region include Randburg, Rosebank, Emmarentia, Greenside, Melville, Mayfair, Northcliff, Parktown and Parktown North.

The Gauteng Department of Health today (29 June) confirmed that Johannesburg’s northern suburbs in Region B recorded 1 541 active cases of Covid-19 as at 28 June.

The region, which includes Randburg, Rosebank, Emmarentia, Greenside, Melville, Mayfair, Northcliff, Parktown and Parktown North, recorded 2 172 cases and 631 recoveries.

Also in the northern suburbs, Region E recorded 2 777 cases and 799 recoveries.

Suburbs in the region include Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton.

The district of Johannesburg confirmed a total of 18 006 cases and 5 458 recoveries while 85 individuals have lost their lives.

A confirmed 353 cases and 84 recoveries remain unallocated.
