Joburg’s Region E records 1 267 active cases

JOBURG – Suburbs in Region E include Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton.

The Gauteng Department of Health has confirmed that Johannesburg’s northern suburbs of Region E have recorded 1 267 active cases of Covid-19 as of 23 June.

The region, which includes Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton, confirmed 1 793 cases and 526 recoveries.

Also in the northern suburbs, Region B recorded 1 407 cases and 391 recoveries.

Suburbs in the region include Randburg, Rosebank, Emmarentia, Greenside, Melville, Mayfair, Northcliff, Parktown and Parktown North.

The district of Johannesburg confirmed a total of 11 962 cases and 3 187 recoveries while 69 individuals have lost their lives.

A confirmed 972 cases and 84 recoveries remain unallocated.
