Power interruption currently in progress in Bryanston

SANDTON – The interruption was scheduled to begin at 8am today (18 June).

City Power would like to inform residents of a critical power interruption currently occurring in the Bryanston area.

The interruption was scheduled to begin at 8am today (18 June).

According to a statement by the electricity distributor, the interruption is “imperative to carry out critical maintenance” on the network to provide a better supply of electricity in the future.

The following streets and areas are affected:

  • Beauford Street
  • West Hertford Street
  • St Audley Bryanston Ext 7
  • Ballyclare Drive
  • Arklow Avenue
  • Galway Street
  • Bryanston Shopping Centre
  • Crescent Flat

The electricity supply is expected to be restored later today at 4pm.

“As the supply may be restored at any time, customers are urged to treat their electricity supply points as live at all times. City Power regrets any inconvenience that may be caused by the interruptions,” read the statement.
