Covid-19 cases in Joburg’s northern suburbs rise by 12

SANDTON – The City of Johannesburg has 21 additional cases confirmed with a total of 912 recoveries and 110 unallocated cases.

The Gauteng Department of Health has confirmed 1 106 cases of Covid-19 in the City of Johannesburg as of 12 May.

The city has 21 confirmed additional cases with a total of 912 recoveries and 110 unallocated cases.

The northern suburbs of regions B and E remain at the epicentre of the virus outbreak in Johannesburg with a combined total of 455.

Region B confirmed an increase of five cases while Region E confirmed an increase of seven cases.

Region B, which includes Randburg, Rosebank, Emmarentia, Greenside, Melville, Mayfair, Northcliff, Parktown and Parktown North, has a total of 169 confirmed cases.

Region E, which includes Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton, has a total of 286 confirmed cases.
