Man nabbed for dealing marijuana

SANDTON– Police arrested a man in Buccleuch for dealing marijuana in the area


A suspect was arrested for dealing in marijuana at a shopping centre in Buccleuch on 15 April.

Captain Granville Meyer of the Sandton Police Station said, “Members of the Crime Prevention Unit were on duty in the area when they spotted a suspicious-looking man and approached him.”

Upon searching him, they discovered bank packets of marijuana and an undisclosed amount of cash, he added.

The suspect was arrested and the 27-year-old man was currently in detention. He will appear in court soon.

Meyer added that crimes involving drugs would remain a priority for the police.

“We will continue with our onslaught to root out the scourge.”

Sandton police appeal to residents to keep reporting criminal activities in the area by phoning the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or reporting it via the MySAPS app, where they can provide tip-offs anonymously.
