Six suspects nabbed with Sassa cards

SANDTON – Six suspects were found in illegal possession of SASSA credit cards.

Police members and Sandton residents are hard at work in the fight against crime.

Four men and two women were recently arrested after being found in possession of stolen property.

Captain Granville Meyer from the Sandton Police Station said that tip-offs received yielded positive results. “The tip-offs were received by the Sandton crime prevention unit in Woodmead Retail Park on 25 March.”

According to the statement, the suspects were in possession of 250 Sassa credit cards. They were found after a thorough search of their vehicle was done. “The suspects are currently in detention and will appear in court soon,” said Meyer

The South African Police Service appeals to residents to keep reporting criminal activities in the area by phoning the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or reporting it via the MySAPS app, where they can provide tip-offs anonymously.
