City receives donation of thousands of surgical masks and protective visors

JOBURG – The former MMC for Public Safety delivered some much-needed positive news of the donation on the first day of lockdown.

Former MMC for Public Safety in the City of Joburg, Michael Sun, sent out some positive news amid the Covid-19 lockdown. Thousands of masks and protective visors were donated to the City.

The donation comes from the Southern Africa Zhejiang General Chamber of Commerce.

His Facebook post read, “Something positive, we arranged for 5 000 surgical masks and 2 000 protective visors to be donated to the City of Joburg, it is at a time like this we need to do our part to protect our Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department – JMPD and City of Joburg EMS Officers whilst they are sacrificing themselves to protect us..’

He thanked Southern Africa Zhejiang General Chamber of Commerce for their donation and assisting when needed.
