ALERT: Flash floods hit parts of Joburg

ROSEBANK – The South African Weather Service did issue a warning of localised flooding from thunderstorms in the Gauteng province. 

Parts of Johannesburg were hit by a flash flood, particularly in the Rosebank and Fourways areas on 28 February.

The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) advised motorists and road users to practise caution due to the heavy rains throughout the City of Joburg. Motorists were also advised to drive cautiously especially in flooded areas and around low-lying bridges.
