Support Sandton SPCA this Valentine’s Day

SANDTON – The SPCA has set the target of raising R20 000.

Sandton SPCA is appealing to community members to share love this Valentine’s Day by contributing to their back-a-buddy page

Sandton SPCA PR manager Wilna Lamb said, “We love that our supporters, donors and social media followers are interactive and responsive to the good work we do. This keeps us motivated amidst the many obstacles we face and the heartache we encounter daily. By donating to the back-a-buddy campaign, they help us even further with the much-needed funding we require to run the SPCA. It is fundraising like this that keeps our inspectors on the road and our animals fed and cared for.”

It costs an average of R600 000 monthly to run the SPCA, much of which goes to medical costs, food and bedding for the animals in their care and the staff who care for the animals.

At last glace, the page had raised R14 057.51. A target of R20 000 has been set for the day.

Donations will help the SPCA feed every animal in their care not just on Valentine’s Day, but every other day of the year.
