The Sandton SPCA has launched e-cards, on 10 February, that you can simply purchase on their website and gift your loved ones while supporting the furry friends at the centre.
Wilna Lamb, external relations manager at the Sandton SPCA, said the e-cards are a way to raise funds.”It gives people the opportunity to donate toward the SPCA in the name of the person that is celebrating a birthday, anniversary or any other special occasion.”
“We have Christmas cards, anniversary cards, birthday cards, Valentine’s cards as well as Mothers’ Day and Father’s Day cards.”

Lamb explained that a donation is made in the name of the recipient and they receive a card and personalised message via e-mail. “It is intended to be a feel-good gift for both the donor and the recipient. Instead of another item that sits in your cupboard, your special celebration will be utilised to uplift the lives of the animals at the Sandton SPCA,” she said.
“In addition to the feel-good factor, it is also an eco-friendly way of gifting and sending a greeting card to your loved ones,” continued Lamb.
When you make a purchase, a suggested amount of R200 automatically appears but can be adjusted according to the senders budget.
