Alleged taxi violence erupts in Bryanston leading to a shooting
BRYANSTON – An incident of alleged taxi violence occurs on William Nicol.
An incident of alleged taxi violence occurred in Bryanston on the corner of William Nicol and Ballyclare drives on 5 February.
Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele said, “It is alleged that four vehicles shot at one vehicle, the windows of the car were also broken but we cannot confirm who did it and why.” Police could not confirm as yet if it was a taxi violence incident or not.
The owner and driver of the vehicle which was shot at managed to escape his vehicle without injury, according to Makhubela.
The police have opened a case of attempted murder and malicious damage to property.
Users took to social media to share their concerns on the matter. It is reported that an altercation erupted between an e-hailing taxi service driver and a group of taxi drivers.

I was in the office. I just heard gun shots when i look from the window i saw 5 or more ATA patrol cars passing in high speed fleeing. What funny they dont use that road at all but today was bad
