St Stithians Junior Preparatory was a hive of activity as the teachers welcomed their new children on 15 January.

The school’s communications manager Annie Fyfe-Hitchings said that the new Grade R children were filled with a lot of emotions but mostly excitement at the thought of this new journey they were about to embark upon.

Parents were all smiles as they walked their children to their new classrooms and happily posed for pictures to capture this special day.

Fyfe-Hitchings said, “The little ones were thrilled when they found their table and locker. After bidding their parents farewell, they quickly became absorbed with the games and toys on the tables and carpet, interacting happily with the other children in the class. “It was a great start to the year and will be remembered by the parents and the children for a long time to come.”
