Martin Nagel has been found

GALLO MANOR – He went missing on 18 January at 9.30pm in Gallo Manor/Woodmead and was found on 20 January.


UPDATE: The family of Martin Nagel (69) who went missing in Gallo manor/Woodmead on 18 January, have confirmed that he has been found.

Vanessa Nefdt- Epstein extended her gratitude to the community, “he’s safe at home and rather exhausted. He did say the people of SA are so kind and generous and helpful and that our country is amazing and I agree.”

20 January:

Community members are searching for 69-year-old Martin Nagel who went missing on 18 January at 9.30pm from Gallo Manor/Woodmead.

His niece Vanessa Nefdt-Epstein said, “We are appealing to anyone who might be able to raise the visibility of this as it is nearing a critical time for him due to medical needs.” She suspects he went down the Western Service Road.

He was last seen wearing a dark green Barbour jacket with a hoodie and a Nokia logo on the pocket. He was also wearing black trousers and red and black trainers.

He has a small black backpack and sunglasses. He has sight issues and his hearing has deteriorated.

It is suspected he could have the start of dementia and might be confused. He mentioned to a security guard that if anyone asked, he was going to Cape Town.
