REEA winds up the year on a high

CRAIGHALL PARK – REEA has made a lot more progress this year as shown by developments and the centre extends it's gratitude to everyone for their contribution.

Another year has passed and REEA Epilepsy Care Centre in Craighall Park took a moment to reflect on the time gone by.

The manager of the centre Alex Sheffield thanked the community, volunteers, donors and churches for their incredible support. “It is largely thanks to all of our loyal supporters who enable all of us to continue providing the essential services to those less fortunate,” Sheffield said.

He added that their bookshop which was run by volunteers had surpassed all expectations. Sheffield said this was thanks to everyone who gave of their time to create what could certainly be deemed one of the best secondhand bookshops in Gauteng and their efforts were highly valued and appreciated. He encouraged everyone to continue to donate all of their unwanted books.

“In general, REEA has made great strides in order to achieve its goals of being more self-sustainable, and it’s thanks to all our tenants [of the centre] for the ongoing unwavering support of this worthy cause.

“As the year winds down, I would like to continue the trend on a high and not dwell on what could have been or what should have been. We look forward to another successful year ahead in 2020 and hope you will all continue on this journey with us and keep going from strength to strength as our motto states: Community Opportunity Prosperity.

“On behalf of our beneficiaries, management and staff we wish you all a merry festive season and a happy new year in 2020.”
