KILLARNEY – The launch of the much-anticipated Sandton SPCA 2020 calendar featuring photography from Emma O'Brien took place on 10 October.

The 2020 Sandton SPCA calendar launch hosted at La Vie en Rose at Killarney Country Club on 10 October was a resounding success.

According to education officer at the Sandton SPCA Wilna Lamb, those who attended were the first to see the beautiful calendar showcasing some of the SPCA’s past dogs and cats photographed by the talented Emma O’Brien.

Lamb also thanked the sponsors who made the calendar possible as well as artist Stephen Graeme for donating his beautiful painting of Mandela to the auction at the event and Gary Steele at Emstel Graphics for sponsoring the frame. Cow Art also donated a painting for auction. These two works raised a whopping R20 000 for the SPCA.

All funds raised from calendar sales will enable the SPCA to continue to care for the animals at their kennels as well as the greater community.

Community members who were unable to attend the launch are encouraged to call 011 444 7730 to order their calendars for R100 or visit the Sandton SPCA to purchase a calendar or two.
