City of Johannesburg host billing open day in Region E

JOHANNESBURG – Various City entities will be on-site to help resolve billing queries on the spot.

Residents in the Johannesburg north-eastern suburbs have been granted a chance to finally try to resolve issues pertaining to the municipal accounts indefinitely.

With the City of Johannesburg hosting a Billing Open Day on 19 October, residents in Region E will be afforded an opportunity to resolve their billing crisis on the spot.

The open day will be held at the customer service centre based in Sandton along Daisy Street and all account holders who have queries regarding their bills are invited.

It is expected that all expert agents from various City entities will be on-site to assist with account holders’ queries.

According to Ward 81 councillor Irene Rugheimer, City Power, Joburg Water, Pikitup, valuations, rates and taxes, planning, billing management, customer services and other departments will be represented.

Rugheimer has urged all account holders to heed the call and attend to their concerns adding that this is a good opportunity to resolve their billing issues.

She said household owners and or account holders will be able to sort out any of their issues with any of the mentioned departments.

“This is an ideal time, outside of working hours – for those who work – to engage with the various entities,” Rugheimer said.

“This will benefit residents to resolve outstanding queries and issues on a face-to-face basis rather than on email or telephonically. This is for residents to obtain assistance with [their] unresolved billing queries.”

Interested account holders can go to the customer service centre from 8am and the open day will be held until 3.30pm.
