Motorist robbed of valuable items at a petrol station on Main Road

BRYANSTON – A motorist was held at gunpoint and robbed of his Rolex watch at a garage on Main Road.

A motorist was robbed at gunpoint of his Rolex watch on 17 September at a petrol station on Main Road in Bryanston.

When he got out of his car, the victim allegedly escorted by two men with firearms who robbed him of the high-valued watch, R3000 cash, his cell phone and BMW car keys, Captain Granville Meyer, head of corporate communication for Sandton Police Station, said.

“The victim sustained injuries to his head after one of the suspect’s hit him with the firearm. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment,” Meyer added.

The suspects immediately fled the scene in a silver Mazda with the registration number JD 52 HN GP.

A case of an armed robbery has been opened at the Sandton Police Station.
