A public memorial service for South African icon Johnny Clegg will be hosted at the Sandton Convention Centre on 26 July.
The musician died at the age of 64 following a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Johnny Clegg’s family have thanked everyone for the outpouring of support during their time of loss and have asked that donations be made to The Click Foundation through the Friends of Johnny Clegg campaign in lieu of flowers.
Tickets for the memorial were available for free on 21 July.
Tributes poured in for the singer following his death on 16 July.

RIP Johnny Clegg. One of the greatest artists of South Africa and the world. Musa Ukungilandela by his band Juluka is one of the great albums of all time. He was a great friend when I needed one during my Sun City research. His use of Zulu influenced me to use it in Pretoria.
