Bryanfern residents celebrate autumn in the park
BRYANFERN – The Bryanfern Residents Association enjoyed the autumn weather at their community day, which doubled as an information session and introduction to their new security company at Bryanston Park.
The Bryanfern Residents Association (BFRA) celebrated its community day at Bryanston Park on 11 May.
The association, which was formed 20 years ago, hosted the day to give residents an opportunity to meet their neighbours, and to interact with committee members and find out more about what the BFRA does and how to join.
Many new residents came to enjoy a sunny day in the park. The BFRA provided coffee and boerewors rolls, estate agents Remax supplied a jumping castle and CAP, the BFRA-supported security company, demonstrated the skills of their K9 Unit, with drug and explosive-sniffing dogs quickly picking up the scent of illicit goods hidden to test them.
Ward Councillor Mike Wood, the South African Police Service’s Captain Hein van Heerden and members of the Community Police Forum were also on hand to answer residents’ questions.
The BFRA’s chairperson, Bronweyn Craig, thanked residents for coming and said she was looking forward to the next community event.
Residents who would like to get in touch with the RA are welcome to send an email to info@bryanfern.co.za.
