The IEC has reached 74.84% of votes counted and they anticipate less than 15 per cent of the vote left to be counted.
A total of 11.8 million votes have been counted, ANC is still leading with 57 per cent, with 6 million of the votes.

All eyes have shifted to the Gauteng province, with over 55 per cent of the vote counted. ANC leads with just 50 per cent of the vote (1 7170 000 votes), DA at 27% ( 585 000 votes) and EFF at 14 per cent ( 309 000 votes).

Political analyst Somadoda Fikeni says, as it stands now, he does foresee the EFF going into a coalition with the DA because they have already stated that they will not cooperate with the DA again. He added that the DA is a distant second at the moment and working with other smaller parties would not be enough.

Smaller parties are still not happy with the IEC and how they have reacted to allegations of multiple voting by some individuals, the IEC said an independent audit company will be employed to audit the results and test the legitimacy of some of the ballot papers.
It has been reported by some media outlets that the disgruntled parties have given the IEC until 9pm today to respond to their grievances.
