Disaster response NGO Gift of the Givers offers assistance to flood victims in KwaZulu-Natal

JOHANNESBURG – Ten homes in Welbedacht were found to have been completely destroyed and eight people washed away by the recent floods in KwaZulu-Natal.

Gift of the Givers said that the organisation will provide humanitarian aid directly to communities and families who suffered severe material loss in the current storm in KwaZulu-Natal.

These include blankets, plastic sheeting, new clothing, shoes, food, baby milk, linen, dishes, stationery, diapers, sanitary pads, school clothing, and other relevant items. Those in need of assistance can call our toll free number 0800 786 911.

“In terms of logistical support in the current KwaZulu-Natal floods we can assist with helicopters [if any area is not accessible], ambulances, vehicles, and general rescue equipment,” said the Gift of the Givers in a released statement.
