Collision leaves male security officer injured

EDENBURG – A male security officer has been injured following a collision on the corner of 12th Avenue and Wessel Street in Edenburg, Sandton.


A collision between two light motor vehicles on Saturday night (6 April) has left a security officer injured.

Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision at 9.43pm.

According to a statement released by the media liaison officer of Netcare 911, Shawn Herbst,” An adult male security officer sustained moderate injuries in the collision and was treated on scene by medics.”

Herbst also said that the occupants of the second car had fled the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services.

The patient was transported by ambulance to a hospital for further treatment.
