UPDATE: #JoburgStorm causes havoc for road users, trees yet to be removed 

A summer thunderstorm hit the Joburg northern suburbs resulting in closure and partial closure of multiple roads. Ward 104 councillor Mike Wood confirmed that multiple trees had fallen down in Bryanston.

Beware of old hoax message doing the rounds

An old hoax from a few years ago seems to be doing the rounds on social media again.

The message warns the community about a new method used to rob or hijack a motorist by throwing acid into the victim’s face.

#RolexGang success: Two suspects arrested in Sandton CBD

Members of the Sandton Police Crime Combatting Team recently arrested two suspects possibly linked to the Rolex gang.

The arrest took place on 15 January around 8pm when the team was on patrol and stopped and searched the occupants of a black Volkswagen Golf.
