Three suspects arrested in Buccleuch

SANDTON – Three suspects were arrested after they were spotted in Buccleuch.

Three suspects were arrested in Buccleuch after security companies received a tip-off.

The incident happened on 8 January at around 10am. This according to Brigadier Egen Moodley, station commander for the Sandton Police Station who said in addition to the arrest, two unlicensed firearms and a stolen vehicle were recovered.

Moodley said ZSS, Duma and Ukuthemba were busy patrolling the area when the suspect vehicle was spotted and they followed it.

He added that the suspects drove on Gibson Drive East and reached a cul-de-sac and were unable to escape.

“The vehicle is a silver grey Hyundai Tucson that was stolen in Primrose in December 2018.

“Well done to ZSS, Ukuthemba, Duma security, and Sandton Guardians,” said Moodley.
