Five events hosted last year for a good cause

SANDTON – Events hosted throughout Sandton helped raise funds for a variety of projects.

Each year the Sandton Chronicle team has the opportunity to work with people and organisations who are dedicated to helping people in the community through fundraising and empowerment projects. Last year was definitely not the exception with so many interesting events that showcased how much how the community cares.

1. Sesego Cares

The Sesego Foundation, which is dedicated to eradicating poverty, hosted its annual golf day at the Country Club Johannesburg in Woodmead. Money was raised through the sponsorships of four-balls in addition to a raffle and auction at the gala dinner.

4. Society for Animals in Distress

The event was hosted for the purpose of thanking its staff and many supporters and donors. Each year the organisation provides more than 100 000 treatments to domestic animals and they aim to ensure that indigent communities have access to veterinary care and animal education. Through an art auction, it helped raise money to continue providing much-needed treatments to animals.
