It gives me great pleasure to wish all the residents of Johannesburg a happy and safe festive season.
For those going away this holiday season, please travel safe and have a great break. For those taking time off but staying in Joburg, I hope you enjoy what I consider one of the best times of the year in our beautiful City. I encourage you to take some time to do a little touristing of your own in our amazing City and see some of the local gems.
I am aware that not everyone will be able to take time off from work. To the people who are working through the festive period to ensure vital services are delivered and others are looked after, please accept my sincere thanks, especially to the dedicated staff at Joburg Water, City Power and Pikitup. Special thanks to those residents who are giving of their time and resources to help members of our community who spend the season alone or are in need of a little help. That is truly the spirit we need these holidays.
