Here are the City’s revenue customer service centre’s festive season operating hours

JOBURG – The City of Johannesburg's revenue customer service centers will be closed on 25 and 26 December as well as 1 and 5 January next year.

The City of Johannesburg’s revenue customer service centers will operate from 7.30am to 3.30pm starting from 24 December to 4 January next year.

The customer service centers will be closed on 25 and 26 December and 1 and 5 January 2019.

Customers should further note that due to IT system maintenance, the City’s IT system, which will include e-services will be offline from 11 January 2019 from 6pm until 14 January next year at 7am.

From 7 January, the Thuso House Customer Service Centre in Braamfontein will revert back to extended operating hours, being 7.30am until 6pm, including all Saturdays from 7.30am until 12.30pm.

MMC for Finance, councillor Funzela Ngobeni, said, “This will affect all customers service centers as well as the call centre who will be able to receive calls but not action service requests. We apologise for any inconvenience caused,”

MMC Ngobeni added that customers who wish to pay their accounts should use other third parties or pay via EFT using their nine digit account number as reference when paying via the internet.

In order to ensure accounts are timeously paid, customers are advised to pay their accounts using the listed methods below:

  • With Easy Pay at Pick n Pay and Shoprite Checkers stores
  • Debit orders
  • Direct deposits at major banks
  • ATMs
  • Internet and cell phone banking
  • SA Post Office.

Customers are advised to continuously make payments to their accounts to avoid credit control action.
