Food Lover’s Market Chilli on Top, Sunninghill, was voted National Franchise FLM Store of the Year 2018 and placed as a finalist in the annual national Franchise Association of South Africa (FASA) awards in 2018. This commendable achievement comes as the store marked 3 years of its existence. The store’s focus on quality and freshness, wide product range, excellent value and exceptional customer service has played a big role in achieving these honours.

Freshest fruit and veggies

Fresh fruit and vegetables remain the cornerstone of the store, and a large amount of fresh produce is sourced directly from local farms, ensuring freshness and quality. Freshly-cut vegetables, in smaller quantities, are also offered for customers’ convenience. The store further stocks an increasing range of organic fruit and vegetables, which is popular with customers. A fresh flower department is another new addition and offers a wide range of freshly cut flowers and mixed bunches, as well as potted herbs and plants.

Top notch butchery

The store also features a full service butchery and offers a wide range of fresh meat and chicken products, as well as a superb gourmet counter that caters to customers’ individual preferences. A comprehensive range of free-range chicken and eggs, as well as A-grade free range, grass fed beef and lamb with traceability has already expanded the range. Halaal products sourced from two of the leading suppliers in Johannesburg complete the offering.

Sumptuous seafood

The seafood department is arguably the finest of any retail store in Johannesburg and stocks a comprehensive range of fresh and frozen seafood. All seafood is freshly prepared and the department offers a complementary service of cleaning, cutting, filleting, de-shelling, deveining or marinating any quantity of fresh or frozen seafood whilst you wait or shop.

Chef-prepared hot foods

An exciting concept within the store is the freshly prepared hot foods department. The store has recently acquired a new Head Chef with many years of experience and a collection of delicious recipes. A new menu has been launched, offering high quality home-style convenience and gourmet meals. There is also delicious sushi for the trendy Sandton lunchtime crowd.

In-house bakery

Other offerings within the store include an in-house bakery that produces the most delectable confectionary and artisan breads, a grocery department filled with all your daily essentials, cheese and gourmet cold cuts, as well as a dried fruit, nut and health bar.
