Raizcorp recently hosted an open day at their Sandton Prosperator for more than 200 entrepreneurs.

The open day was hosted on 1 November for all aspiring entrepreneurs and other interested guests.

In addition, about 20 Raizcorp entrepreneurs, both current and alumni, exhibited their businesses on the day which ranged from clothing manufacturers, corporate gifting, water management and industrial cleaning services.

The visitors had the opportunity to attend three presentations on different topics.

The first talk of the day was hosted by Raizcorp alumnus, Nhlakanipho Shange from ADIT Solutions who shared his business journey and the most important lessons he has learned as an entrepreneur.

He talked about how even the best-laid plans can fail, but that your vision won’t, and he cautioned aspiring entrepreneurs against developing overly complicated solutions for problems while in the start-up phase.

Shange offered this advice, “Don’t wait for someone to introduce you to your next big client or contact. Go out and introduce yourself.”

The second talk of the day was by Matt Clark from Virtual Edge who delivered a presentation on the power of LinkedIn and how to make it work for your business.

Matt Clark from Virtual Edge takes questions from budding entrepreneurs following his presentation.

He said that all entrepreneurs are on the lookout for the perfect client and if you find this client, you need to be able to put your offer in front of them.

LinkedIn offers multiple valuable ways for entrepreneurs to do just this.”
