SANDTON – Hyde Park High School recently hosted their second art exhibition for the year.

Hyde Park High held their second exhibition of the year in the school’s Thurman Hall.

The second exhibition, hosted on 18 October, was to showcase the outstanding artworks of the Grade 12s.

After the official opening of the exhibition, parents and visitors mingled and admired the remarkable talent of the learners.

Ndhlovu created two enormous pieces, one depicting happiness and the other sadness and disappointment.

Headmaster Manolis Vogiatzis commended the seniors on their creativity and artistic vision.

Tess Dennison finishes her artwork which addresses addiction, based on the theme, Outside the Centre.

Dennison said that when preparing for this artwork she felt strongly that drugs take you away from your centre and purpose, leading to you being addicted to a chemical helping to escape reality.
