#JHBTraffic: Apparent bomb scare sees evacuation and road closures in Sandton

SANDTON – Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes.

Rivonia Road and West Street will be closed as well as Johan Avenue and Rivonia Road, according to a statement from Sandton Central Management District.

Please note that 102 Rivonia Road has received a bomb threat and has started to evacuate the building, continued the statement. Alexander Forbes has also evacuated the building as a precautionary measure.

Emergency services and the Saps Bomb squad have been alerted and are on their way. Avoid these roads at this stage.
