The People Against Petrol and Paraffin Price Increases (Pappi) is once again calling for protest action against the rising fuel costs.
Vishvin Reddy of Pappi said the organisation is planning to shut down certain roads across the country on 28 September.
In a video released on 15 September by Reddy, he explains that in 2010 the Rand was trading at around R7 to the dollar and that petrol cost about R7 a litre. “Government tells us that fuel prices will go up again next month by over R1 a litre. The biggest increase yet.”
Reddy said that 28 September is their national day of protest against the rising cost of fuel in the country. He is calling on the citizens to stand together and send a message to the Government.
