Sandton police arrest two suspects

SANDTON – The two suspects will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate Court on 6 September.

Two men have been arrested for possession of suspected stolen property in Sandton following a chase by Sandton police officers.

At about 2.40 pm on 4 September members of Sandton Police Station spotted a suspicious Mercedes Benz on Witkoppen Road in Fourways. The police officers attempted to stop the vehicle while calling for backup.

Police officers responded to the request for backup and managed to block the suspects at the corner of Bowling Avenue and Witkoppen Road. A search of the vehicle found a bag containing a laptop, three jamming devices, an Allen key and personal documents belonging to the suspects.

The items had originally been reported stolen in Sandton and the complainant identified the stolen items.

The suspects were set to appear at the Wynberg Magistrate Court on 6 September.
