SA Post Office releases new social grant card but still has service delivery issues

JOBURG – Twitter users share their experiences with the South African Post Office.

The South African Post Office has announced that it will transfer one million social grant beneficiaries from the old Cash Paymaster Services’ South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) card to a new card issued by Postbank.

The post office said social grant beneficiaries with the old white card, which will be fully phased out by 30 September, should swap it for the new gold card. Card swapping can be done at the social security agency’s offices nationally on any workday as well as at all the pay points during the July grants payment cycle.

While some have said the process has been seamless to transfer from the old card to the new one, others have raised concerns about the process.

Some people have also raised concerns about receiving their parcels months after they had been delivered, or not at all, while others have received great service.
