#ICYMI: Man threatens to commit suicide at Sandton City

SANDTON – A 36-year-old man threatened to jump to his death at Sandton City.

A man climbed a high ledge at Sandton City today, 2 February, threatening to commit suicide. ER24 paramedics and police attended the scene.

The unknown man cornered himself on a ledge inside the mall from approximately 4.35pm this afternoon.

Captain Granville Meyer of Sandton police said, “The 36-year-old man has been rescued and taken to Joburg Gen (Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital).”
