Finalists for the SA Premier Business Awards announced

SANDOWN – The finalists for the fifth annual South African Premier Business Awards were announced at a media launch at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on 20 November.

Minister of Trade and Industry Dr Rob Davies announced the finalists for the fifth annual South African Premier Business Awards at a media launch at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on 20 November.

“The awards seek to recognise and celebrate entrepreneurs and companies that invest in both human and technical resources in various activities and that are producing quality products and services,” said Davies.

He added that the awards sought to honour local enterprises that promoted the spirit of success, innovation, job creation, quality and good business ethics in the country.

Davies said a number of categories have been consolidated to raise the prestige associated with the awards.

In September, a call for entries was announced and 179 companies from all nine provinces sought the opportunity to be recognised with an award. A team of quality adjudicators from a variety of sectors assessed the results to determine the finalists.

Between three and nine enterprises were announced as finalists in 10 categories including investors, exporters, enterprise development support, manufacturers, black industrialists, SMME, young entrepreneurs, women-owned businesses, Proudly South African enterprises and ‘play your part’.
