UPDATE: Suspect arrested for Bryanston hijacking and murder

SANDTON – Police recently arrested one suspect in connection with the murder of a Bryanston resident that occurred on 30 May.

 

The South African Police Service Trio task team recently arrested a suspect for a murder and carjacking that occurred in May.

The Sandton Chronicle reported on 31 May on the attack on 30 May where a 49-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and later died of his injuries. The incident took place on Farm Street in Bryanston, during which the victim’s black Range Rover was hijacked.

According to Brigadier Egen Moodley from the Sandton Police Station, “The 33-year-old suspect was also wanted for an armed robbery that recently took place at Cradlestone Mall in Krugersdorp.

“The suspect will be charged with murder, hijacking and business robbery.”
