Driveway robbery in Mount Street

BRYANSTON - See what happened at a show house in Bryanston.

People who visited a show house in Mount Street in Bryanston on 9 July were allegedly held at gunpoint and robbed of their vehicle, jewellery and cellphones.

The spokesperson for Sandton Police Station, Constable David Mothapo said a driveway robbery case had been opened at the station. A woman and her husband were robbed at 3.45pm yesterday after entering the driveway of a show house in Mount Road. “The complainant pressed an intercom and while inquiring about the house to the estate agent, another vehicle parked behind them,” said Mothapo.

Three men got out the vehicle wearing balaclavas and one of the men allegedly pointed a firearm at them and instructed them to lie down.

“The men proceeded to take their jewellery, cellphones and keys to their car.”

Intelligence Bureau SA reported on their Facebook page that a grey Land Rover with the registration DY57CV GP was hijacked.
