Video footage of an armed robbery after the victim was followed home in Rivonia on 14 June has emerged.
The footage shows the victim arriving home at about 8pm, opening the gate and driving in with the suspects in tow. According to Constable David Mothapo, spokesperson for the Sandton Police Station, the 33-year-old victim arrived home from work and parked her vehicle. “As she was getting out of the car she was approached by two males, both armed and wearing balaclavas,” he said.
Mothapo added that one of the suspects pointed a gun at her and she was robbed of her wristwatch and diamond ring.
The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.
