Crawford College Sandton’s Grade 11’s are making dreams come true for Fidelitas Secondary School by hosting a matric dance for them.
Fidelitas is their partner school and is situated in Diepkloof, Soweto. The College supports Fidelitas by making teaching and learning at their school more comfortable and efficient.
Fidelitas has never had the opportunity to host a matric dance for their pupils. Crawford’s Grade 11’s have seen this as an opportunity to change ‘history’ by hosting a matric dance in their college hall for the Grade 12’s from Fidelitas.
The Grade 11’s are extremely excited to run this project as both schools will benefit from this event. Fidelitas matriculants will finish their final year with an event which will have lasting memories. At the same time, this project will give the Crawford Grade 11’s the opportunity to develop their leadership and organisational skills and also give back to the community.
A group of representatives from Crawford went to Fidelitas to hand over the schools’ invitation to the dance. They were met with excitement and gratitude by the pupils who are eagerly anticipating the fun they will have at their matric dance.
