Crawford College Sandton supported Slipper Day on 12 May.
This is a campaign run by the Reach for a Dream Foundation every year where they encourage South Africans to wear their slippers to work and school.
The purpose of this fun initiative is to help children who are fighting life-threatening illnesses.
Crawford College Sandton has been involved in this campaign for the past few years and their efforts have been very successful. Last year R5 900 was raised which meant that they were able to assist with one child’s dream and this year they were determined to improve their efforts, which they proudly did by raising R8 800.

Robyn Hillowitz, the coordinating teacher of the campaign at the school said, “Our school has about 650 students so we are thrilled to be able to make such a significant contribution to this worthy cause. Our teachers and students certainly enjoyed the warmth and comfort of spending the day in their slippers.”
